Photographer Zanele Muholi

Zanele Muholi was born in South Africa in 1972 – She has produced Film and Photography and describes herself as a visual activist.

According to Tate Her unapologetic artwork has made her one of the most acclaimed photographers today. With her work shown all around the world.

Her photography is to support the LGBTQ society that are violently discriminated against in South Africa.

The reason WE have picked this Photo for the photo of the month, is because the first feeling it gave us was Self Love!

In these testing times we must remember to Love and accept ourselves. We also need to take the time to look in the mirror and start to make a change starting within ourselves to later make a big impact to the world.

To Tie into Zanele’s meaning we need to love and accept others as we love and accept ourselves

“I want people to understand our existence and presence, to say, ‘we exist’ – Zanele Muholi
