Innovative, exciting all natural ideas in textiles that grows 

I came across the work of Lara Campos, a former student of Fabricademy in Barcelona. For her final major of her Textile design course. Lara Campos designed fabric that is not only all natural, but it grows 

Lara experimented with various yarn combinations and planted seeds within it. 

The collection called Be Grounded was inspired by the idea of earthing. She wanted to create a collection that connects earth to the human body. Rather than creating clothes made from earthly materials, she wanted to create fabric that grows like it does on the earth.  

A way of getting closer to nature and soaking in all its beneficial energies. She explored different yarns and planted seeds in them to experiment.

Although there is a wait to see what Lara does next, she is currently working to set up a co-creation space in Barcelona for bio-based research and design. 

There is no doubt about it, her idea is exciting, refreshing and all things good for the soul. To combine Nature with our clothing and become one with the earth in an all-natural co-existence relationship. Lara has inspired us!
