I was so excited after this show! I had to watch it again! i Liked so much that I don’t know where to start, and won’t be able to fit it all in. With Donna Karen stepping down last year it was interesting to see what was going to be brought to the table.

It kicks off with a sound that reminds me of the streets of New York in the early 90s amongst all the hustle and bustle! In fact New York was written over the whole show. Really brought the meaning to DKNY

Pinned striped dungarees, wide leg trousers, puffer bomber jackets that reached limits (why not) all gave this 90s RnB women feel. Like TLC, Monica, Aaliyah, Brandy, female artists I loved and grew up on. It had the whole era written all over it like a Hype Williams music video.

Although the 90s influence has been apart of the mainstream fashion for some time now. DKNY were able to give a new edge to it. There was Tartan, Velvet and a blue, white and yellow sporty looking print.

Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne I applaud you. It was amazingly executed down to the models and their chosen look, the music and the ending was the cherry on the icing! They played with the DKNY and created mini statements. I love statements in fashion, its what I live for! “Designers Know Nothing Yet!” Well i can’t wait to see more!!
